The first flight of about four hundred and eighty five Nigerian pilgrims departed King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, to Abuja aboard Flynas carrier.
Information from the Command and Control Centre of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, shows that the first flight took off at about ten o’clock this morning Saudi time to Nigeria.

The pilgrims on board are from the Federal Capital, Abuja and eleven officials.

Earlier it was reported that the first airlift will be tomorrow with Gombe State pilgrims.

However, despite this new development the earlier announcement that Gombe State first flight would be tomorrow still stands.

It can be recalled that NAHCON has a standing rule over the years that the first to come will be the first to go.

The first flight during the start of the operation over a month ago was launched in Abuja with FCT pilgrims.
